“There’s no organ system in the body that’s not affected by sound, music and vibration. You can look at disease as a form of disharmony.”

- Mitchell Gaynor, Medical Oncologist

Sound Therapy

Similar to food, all sound and vibration affects us. What we consume can support our health or take away from our overall well-being. It’s common to pay attention to what we eat, how often do we pay attention to the sounds we take in? We have been consuming sounds from the vibrational soup of our environments, since we were 18 weeks old in the womb.

The therapeutic application of frequency, music, sound, and vibration is a natural way to treat pain and dis-ease by stimulating the body’s healing mechanisms.

❥ According to a study published by the National Institute of Health, “music effectively reduces anxiety for medical and surgical patients and often reduces surgical and chronic pain.” In addition, providing music to caregivers may be a strategy to improve empathy, compassion, and care. Meaning, music is good for patients and those who care for them too.

❥ A review of 400 published scientific articles on music as medicine found strong evidence that music has mental and physical health benefits in improving mood and reducing stress.

❥ A study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that an hour long sound meditation helped people reduce tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing a sense of spiritual well-being.

One of the best ways to see how sound therapy affects you, is to try it for yourself.  If you’re curious about a sound therapy, Kathryn offers in-home sessions and private sessions in her healing studio space in Oceanside, CA.

Recalibrate your body and mind as sound vibrations resonate throughout the body working to release muscular and mental tension, and reduce energetic and emotional imbalances.

Cast away your limiting beliefs and treat yourself to an experience you will never forget. Unlock your potential and discover why sound therapy is becoming the go to for people who want to open their energy fields and release their deepest fears and doubts.

Kathryn elevates and transports her listeners to other cosmic and worldly realms, utilizing crystal quartz singing bowls tuned to the frequency of the seven major energy centers in the body, Tibetan singing bowls, ocean drums, chimes, and percussive instruments along with conscious guided meditation and breath.

Energy flows where attention goes. For many listeners it is one of the first times where they are able to truly relax and let go of all thoughts and feelings and experience them in ways never before felt. Remaining present, yet separated from their earthly troubles and worries. Tapping into this vibrational energy encourages a deeply relaxed, meditative and therapeutic state of mind.

Healing can occur on multiple levels, including inner child work, PTSD, loss and grief, energy blocks, trauma, and a host of other emotional imbalances. It is possible to experience a psychedelic state without ingesting any psychedelics, with the right breathing techniques, mindset and setting.

I wouldn’t say I’m a skeptic but I was very curious what sound’s contribution would be to achieving a meditative state. And in all fairness I haven’t been a practitioner of any sort of meditation and self wellness practices and I am trying to change that. Well, Kathryn, made a believer out of me and the experience was peaceful and soothing and I look forward to going again!
